Make working and communicating remotely a little more fun with custom virtual backgrounds for Microsoft Teams! Adding a background to your video calls helps hide the mess and chaos of your world or just changes things up a bit, keeping your virtual environment lively and engaging. Images will appear backward to you, but don’t worry, they look correct to everyone else. We’re adding more photos from SAS locations worldwide, so check back often to see what’s new.
PC
Navigate to the Teams background folder. Open a “file explorer” window and go to “view” tab and check the “hidden items” box. Type in the directory:
C:\Users\{yourID}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads
Mac
Navigate to the Teams background folder. Open “Finder” then shift-command-G (or Go->Go To Folder). Type in the directory:
~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Teams/Backgrounds/Uploads
Copy your custom SAS background jpgs into these folders. When you join a Teams meeting and show background effects, your new backgrounds will be available.
